  • The Avenue Neighbourhood House

Nunawading Lions have been closely associated with The Avenue Neighbourhood House for several years - initially assisting them with some of the re-location expenses when they moved to Eley Park.

In recent years the staff at The Avenue have assisted with the catering for Nunawading Lions’ Derby Eve Breakfast, and proceeds for the last breakfast were been directed to The Avenue’s "Eley on the Park Cafe" which provides the opportunity for people with an acquired brain injury to gain basic hospitality skills including food preparation and front of house service, and provides a pathway for the participants to further study, volunteer or paid work.

    Licola Wilderness Village

The township of Licola is owned entirely by the Lions Clubs of Victoria and southern New South Wales. It is the only privately owned town in Victoria and the only one not on mains power.

The greater part of the town is occupied by the Licola Wilderness Village, where Lions Clubs for over 35 years have run camps for disadvantaged children and special needs groups, mostly held during the school holidays.
